About

Hi there! I am a 20-something 30-something year old who loves exploring the world and remembers the most random details of certain events. I started writing down these stories for family and friends when I left home in June 2012 with a one-way ticket to Spain and one backpack. These stories are in no way comprehensive of everywhere I have been: while I am lucky to experience so many unique things, sometimes it’s not enough to write home about… pun definitely intended.

I usually travel solo, but am always open to meeting people along the way to share experiences with, or to even travel with. When not exchanging stories with locals and other travellers, I can be found where there is food or an amazing view. Most recently, I have teamed up with one of my friends, known here as Nose. We have successfully completed the epic quest of visiting all 30 Major League Baseball ballparks in just the summer of 2013 (edit: now that Atlanta has a new ballpark, we may have to redo this trip to include the new one). We spent most of 2014 gallivanting around Italy and the Balkan peninsula before taking a transatlantic cruise to the Caribbean. We then found ourselves unsuccessfully avoiding mosquitoes in Southeast Asia in 2015.

As of 2019, I have kept up my unintentional-now-intentional tradition of being in a new country every year in July. (edit: this has stopped due to COVID-19).
